☽ I love traveling with any size group, especially my family and my forever travel bestie-- my husband-- we have visited most of the United States as well as over a dozen countries internationally! And adding more each year!
☽ I am also a Social Studies teacher with two decades of service at a public high school and local community college
☽ I am a huge fan of wellness and am a 200-CMT meditation teacher, RYT-200 yoga teacher, and Reiki Master

I am going to highlight some of my Dutchess County favorites in the coming weeks to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the CTA program!
Whether you are an out of towner looking to experience New York winter, some leaf peeping, or the beauty and history of this wonderful area or even if you want to plan a staycation, I’m your gal! 🫶🏼

I know that people are always showcasing the thrill rides and new areas — VelociCoaster and Hagrids are amazing and Epic is, well, epic — but it’s the smaller things that influencers forget to showcase that make Universal so special! Here are some of my unsung heroes on a park-to-park day!
📍Bake My Day, Minions Land (great theme and adorable snacks)
📍Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes (I am much more impressed with these facades than with getting a video of the dragon breathing fire down the street!)
📍Florida sunsets (my pic is from Aventura Hotel)
📍Toon Lagoon (I do enjoy the nostalgia and aging myself when I have to explain to my kids what the funny pages were lol)
📍E.T. (In my opinion the best ride in Universal. My only regret is that I still haven’t purchased an interplanetary passport in the shop.)
📍Super Nintendo World queue lines (yes, I said what I said)
📍Florean Fortescue Ice Cream (which you can usually find at kiosks in Hogsmeade and Ministry— Strawberry & Peanut Butter or Earl Grey & Lavendar are top tier)
📍The queue and shop for Jimmy Fallon — absolutely spot on and New Yorker approved!
Honorable mentions: I considered Kong, Megatron roasting passersby, and the veggie burger at Captain America’s for this post too lol

It’s been a crazy journey but I have so much time and energy to put into something I am so passionate about: travel, adventures, experiences!

I know my content is usually directly related to travel but as we get closer to the end of February and up here in the Northeast we have already had a few birds return and some ladybugs already arrived at my house I’ve thought about this constantly!🌱🐞
