On July 17, a jury in Paris reviewed the submissions for the 2026 IT Awards — spanning breakthrough ingredients, unique formula textures and formats, and packaging designed to rethink product interaction. The finalist selection now moves to the US jury, which will evaluate the entries and determine the winners.

With 80 submissions across four categories from suppliers, laboratories, and manufacturers on both sides of the Atlantic, this year’s program reflects the depth and direction of innovation in our industry.

One of the enduring truths of beauty is that a strong concept in development does not always translate to success in the market. These submissions will be reviewed by professionals who understand the discipline required to move a product from formulation to commercialization.

As Master of Ceremonies, I am proud to support a platform that recognizes the ideas, technologies, and products shaping the next chapter of beauty.

A few themes are already emerging from this year’s submissions:

+ Texture continues to be a meaningful innovation driver, shaping both finish and format.
+ The distinction between skincare and makeup is becoming less defined, with color cosmetics increasingly delivering skincare benefits.
+ Product design is moving toward modularity and adaptability rather than replacement.
+ Precision is increasingly being positioned as a measurable expression of performance.

These days, most of my learning comes from digital sources—PubMed, webinars, industry newsletters, audiobooks, podcasts, social media, Google, and the extended ChatGPT universe. It’s fast, efficient, and always within reach.

But there’s still something irreplaceable about a physical book. Turning pages, marking chapters, highlighting passages that stay with you—it’s a different kind of connection. Slower, maybe, but deeper.

I keep a small home library of the books I return to again and again (my current reading list is pictured above) the ones I don’t want to lose sight of. They’ve shaped how I think, and I revisit them like old conversations that still have more to teach.
