You've done a thousand core workouts and probably never thought about training training THIS muscle group. 👀
On this week's Well Chat, we sat down with Dr. Sara Reardon — pelvic health physical therapist, author, and the one and only .va**na.whisperer — and she said the quiet part out loud: we train our cores, our quads, our biceps... but nobody's talking about training the pelvic floor. And that gap is costing women more than they realize.
This episode covers what your pelvic floor actually does, the leakage myth every woman needs to unlearn (spoiler: it's not just an "after kids" thing), how to actually do a Kegel correctly, and when it's time to see a specialist.
Sis, if you've ever laughed, sneezed, or jumped and thought "well, that's just my life now" — this one's for you. New episode is live everywhere you listen. 🎧

"This happened to me too."
There are so many things we don't talk about because we're afraid of being judged. I have always been embarassed about my body, my mental health state, my lack of relationship, not having enough money, a recent infertility diagnosis, and all sorts of mistakes and regrets. I veer away from conversations around these topics because I am honestly afraid of judgmental looks and comments. But, I just want to share that while I sat on the mat crying today, I heard an inner voice telling me that staying quiet doesn't make the shame go away. Sometimes, sharing it to even one person frees you from the shame when you hear the words: "This happened to me too."
I am sharing this anonymously because I decided to start taking baby steps to freedom. I want to free myself from the shame and maybe, someone else needs to know they aren't the only one. That they also need to hear that this happens to others too.
The only thing better than sharing the news of Freedom at The Mat’s mission is meeting others who are intentional with their time, talents and visions as well.
The 2026 For Providers By Providers Early Learning Conference was fun and dynamic this weekend in New Orleans.

Don’t wait for a problem to start taking care of your body.
So many of us were taught to stay quiet about these things, but there’s real freedom in talking openly and learning what our bodies need. Talking about va**na health, pelvic floor health, and other “taboo” topics is part of reclaiming that freedom.
Perimenopause isn’t a surprise.
Menopause isn’t optional.
Preparation is.
Dr. Sara Reardon (The Va**na Whisperer) shares why proactive pelvic floor care can make all the difference in the second half of life.
Listen to the full episode and learn why pelvic floor health deserves a place in every woman’s wellness routine.
