Just this week, one of our stylists has had not 1, but 2 clients no show her for appointments that were 3+ hours long. These no-shows are incredibly hard for our stylists & the salon as a whole.

As a small business, we are incredibly grateful for every person who chooses to sit in our chairs. Unfortunately, we’ve recently experienced an increase in last-minute cancellations and no-show appointments, and we need to make a small change to better protect our team.
Effective immediately, all new clients booking color services will be required to place a 50% deposit to reserve their appointment.
Your 50% deposit is not an additional fee, it will be applied directly toward your service total on the day of your appointment. If you need to cancel, your deposit will be refunded when at least 48 hours’ notice is provided.
We know policies like this can sometimes feel impersonal, but the reason behind ours is very personal.
For our stylists, an appointment isn’t just a spot on a calendar. This is our livelihood. It’s how we pay our bills, put meals on the table, care for our children, and support our families.
The salon industry doesn’t come with many of the securities of a traditional job. There is no paid time off, guaranteed salary, or compensation for an empty chair when someone doesn’t show. Our stylists intentionally reserve hours of their day specifically for each guest, especially for color appointments. And when that time suddenly goes unfilled, it represents income they cannot recover.
We will always understand that life happens, which is why we kindly ask for communication and 48 hours’ notice whenever possible.
Thank you for respecting our team’s time, talent, and livelihood, and for continuing to support our small business. We truly couldn’t do what we love without you. 🤍
