Big inhale.
This world will try to show you over and over and over all the ways your body is not your own.
It will try and take your personhood. It will strip your identity, shake your strength and continue to consume you in all and any ways your body can be consumed.
It is a lie. You don’t need to accept this. You can fight back in big and small ways.
You are worthy because you’re here. No one deserves any part of you that you aren’t open to giving them. Not your family. Not your abusers. Not your government. None of them can dictate who you are.
I am so many things this side of furious and disgusted. But one thing I am not? Surprised. Shocked. I don’t feel those things like that anymore.
This isn’t about you coming to make an appointment or give me your money or any of that- this is because I want you to know from the bottom of my SOUL that you are a miracle of flesh and electricity and light and magic. Every part of your existence is nothing short of extraordinary.
These are dark times… but you are the fu***ng sun. Don’t forget that.

My license says “Aesthetician” but that hasn’t felt like quite the right word to reflect my work.
No shame at all to the places that are all business, and high powered modalities, but I wanted to bring something that feels more therapy less clinical.
A facial can be so much more than brisk cleanses and popping pimples. I want you to melt into your body. I want you to feel held and safe. I want to be the provider that takes care of YOU, not just your face.
Pearl Moon Beauty is unique because it is my homage to the energetic and slightly witchy practices I grew up with, but in a space designed for those of us that have struggled with belonging somewhere.
New Bedford & the greater South Coast has been the perfect home for this space, and each year I am blessed to have the ability to share my passion for self love and holistic healing here.
So yes, I am legally an esthetician in the eyes of Massachusetts, but I want to be your SKIN THERAPIST.
