DAY 16 ✨ Brows + Lip Blush Healing Update!

I am SO happy with how everything is healing! My brows and lips have softened beautifully, the color is settling in, and I’m really pleased with how consistent the healing process has been. 💋

And one thing I can say after going through the process myself — lanolin has officially won me over for my personal healing routine! 🙌🏼I’ve been so pleased with it that I personally don’t plan on going back to the petroleum-based ointments I’ve used in the past.

🤎 Episode: Are your brows still living in the 90’s?😂

Day 5 healing update ✨ My brows have started flaking and are looking a little softer and more dull right now—which is completely normal during the healing process. I’m still applying lanolin twice a day to my brows and as needed to my lips while everything continues to heal.

I also had a client today tell me her eyebrows were “left in the ’90s” 😂 So if you feel like your brows are still living in another decade, let’s bring them up to speed!

Here we are at Day 4! I’m taking you along through the real healing process of my recent brow and lip touch-ups—not just showing you the pretty finished photos.

At this stage, you may notice the color changing, some dryness or flaking, and areas that temporarily look lighter or uneven. That’s part of the process. Permanent makeup goes through several stages before the true healed color is revealed.

And remember—the fresh result is not the final result. I’ll continue documenting my healing and show you what everything looks like once it’s healed, including my results before my perfecting visit.

After 27 years as a Permanent Makeup Artist, I think it’s important for clients to know what to realistically expect from Day 1 through healed results.

DAY 3 — REAL PERMANENT MAKEUP HEALING 🤎

Day 3 of healing my freshly touched-up brows lip blush… and today I’m taking you along for the real-life part of the process!

This video is a little longer, but I wanted to actually show you how I wash my face while my permanent makeup is healing, how I’m caring for the treated areas, and how I can still put on a little makeup and get ready without interfering with the healing process.

One thing I always tell my clients: permanent makeup is a process. Fresh results are not healed results. Your color will change, soften and settle as your skin heals—and that’s completely expected.

Right now my brows are still darker and more defined than they will ultimately be, and my lips are already beginning to soften from that freshly-done color. Over the next several days, I’ll continue showing you exactly what happens—the good, the flaky and everything in between. 😂

I think it’s important for my clients to see the real healing process, not just a beautiful before-and-after photo.
