Let’s talk about Ms. K (because she told me I could!)

You see, we had a little disagreement a couple years back. I wanted to treat her for dry eye. She wanted to have cataract surgery. She was trying to explain that her vision fluctuates. I was trying to explain that is a symptom of dryness. She was confused and frustrated because it was JUST her left eye that bothered her.

She had the cataract surgery.

She came back to me still having fluctuating vision.

I did a tear analysis on her. In each photo the bottom portion is her left eye. The red is where her tears wouldn’t/couldn’t stay on the front surface of her eye. She had discomfort and blur.

She decided to start dry eye treatments at my office and after a few months you can see her tears stay on the front surface of her eye for 13 seconds! Our goal is 10!

Ms. K is the sweetest. She knows her symptoms and calls when she needs another treatment. We still giggle when we see each other and she says “I can’t believe I didn’t listen in the first place.”

You have to look at these results. This sweet woman has suffered from dry eye for decades. She’s tried every drop on the market and has even been in experimental drop protocols.
