I recently shared recently that I obtained my certification in Harper Ellis Concealed Bead Extensions. I want to take a moment to share a little more about this company, their process, and what made them stand out to me.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that I took an extension course several years ago. I ended up not pursuing those services long-term. In my decision-making process, I considered that I knew one of their educators personally, and decided to pursue a brand based on a personal connection rather than merit. I took a very intense, two-day class. I learned four methods of extensions in a total of sixteen hours, and left feeling OVERWHELMED. In the class, we received a demonstration, did a quick hands on practice, and boom, certified. I didn’t feel like I knew near enough to confidently bring this back to my clients. But, their philosophy was to get the basics, practice on clients, and watch videos from a few select creators online to learn more to figure it out. I did practice on a few clients, but without feedback from someone who knew the whole process, I didn’t feel like I had enough of a grasp to continue, and stopped offering extension services altogether.

Enter Harper Ellis. I have had many clients ask about extension services over the years, and finally decided to pursue a method that offers the quality of both education and hair that I expect for my clients. The process to get certified starts online. I watched in-depth videos supplied by their education team. Then, we have to do our practice and submit photos of our work. The photos are meticulously reviewed, and they ask for corrections if necessary before passing us on to the next phase. Once the first two phases are complete, we have to attend an in-person class where they really help fine tune our skills.

I’ve been keeping some exciting news close to the vest!

Since June, I’ve been working in my studio towards getting certified in Harper Ellis Hair Co. | Hair Extensions extensions. This past weekend, I was able to attend my in-person class to become fully certified! I am so excited to be able to offer this service. The hair is top quality. The method is discreet and comfortable. The education is top notch.

If you are a client of mine, and have been considering extensions, I’d love to chat more. If you haven’t been to see me yet, and are interested in extensions, reach out to schedule your in-person consultation. I’m so excited for this next step in my career behind the chair. Let get you your dream hair.

Two-minute hair transformation 👀👀👀

R U N to grab you some of this new Goldie Locks® | Luxury Hair Care Signature Dry Shampoo. I have never been a huge advocate for dry shampoo products, because, for me personally, they often leave my scalp feeling very dry and itchy. My hair is also naturally dry, so dry shampoo products can make my ends feel depleted as well.

I am beyond impressed with the new Signature Dry Shampoo. I literally don’t feel it on my scalp, and my ends feel amazing. Paired with the Signature Serum, it makes for a very low effort hair day. Perfect for days like today- the first day of a new school year in our house!

10/10 recommend.

A little root melt//lived-in color for my best girl to welcome the fall

My favorite thing, and what I’ve always hoped to cultivate in my business, is when clients feel at peace in my chair.

Tova told me today that her favorite thing about her hair appointments is that she never has to feel stressed about her color outcome. With her hair being naturally dark, she would often find herself with brassy highlights and she felt like she had to micromanage some previous stylists.

With open communication, and an understanding that the result she was looking for would take several appointments to achieve, we were able to find a color result that loves, and that I am able to give her consistently.

I am so glad that we were able to work through her concerns, create a color that she loves, and get to have some of the best girl time every month.

Thank you for trusting the process, my friend. It has been the best journey. *and thank you for making sure I finally snapped some photos 😍🥰*

As 2024 comes to a close, I want to extend a sincere THANK YOU to my clients.

This year has been a wild one, to say the least. Having my guests support me while I have had to navigate loss has been a most humbling experience. Many of you listened, shared your own experiences, and even shed tears with me. You’ve heard about the sudden loss of my dad, our washed out driveway, house projects, starting middle school, and so much more. While my personal life often felt chaotic, my studio was my steady place, thanks to all of you who have stuck with me.

My family and I are humbled and grateful that you all continue to choose us. I look forward to serving all of you, and those who will be new, in 2025. 🥳🎉🎊
