Dr. Shay Taylor Allen went from working as a janitor at Yale New Haven Hospital at age 18 to matching into its anesthesiology residency program. After advocating for her ailing mother and later earning her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, she returned to Yale as a physician trainee, completing a powerful full circle journey. 🩺📚
