Before Lena Rose, there was Noktivo.
2013, Damen Avenue. A name with ancient roots, a family who can tile, and the first time I put my name on a lease. My mom taught me to tile on that floor. That woman could throw a party, and she could throw a hammer.
Swipe through: the pedicure bench with a secret inside, my mom on the manicure bar, our little back room on Lincoln Avenue, and Marlena, already handy with a drill.
The whole chapter lands in inboxes tonight at 8. Join the list at the link in our bio to read it.

Dry skin is often confused with dehydrated skin, but believe it or not, they are two completely different things.
🧴Dry Skin is when your skin is lacking its natural oils.🧴
💧Dehydrated Skin is when your skin is lacking water.💧
Don’t worry, we have the products you need to treat either of these skin concerns!

Today is Marlena's birthday. She's the Lena in Lena Rose. 🌹
Ten years ago, she and I opened a shop together, though only one of us knew what we were doing. She was two. She rode her Fisher Price rider in circles around the shop, waving at whoever was sitting in the pedicure chairs.
And then there was the afternoon she hit her limit, right in the middle of a client's appointment…
Until our 10-year anniversary on December 4, I want to share our story with you, one chapter every Tuesday, by email. Chapter one went out this morning, and Marlena hid a little birthday present inside it. 🎁
