Before this procedure it is important to stop using retinols and be diligent about sun protection for the week prior to your appointment. The treatment doesn’t take long and afterwards you may have some swelling, redness, and bruising. The spots treated will get darker before they start to disappear. Sun protection and gentle skin care is a must for at least one week after the treatment.

Multiple treatments may be needed to get the results you desire. We may require that you have a skin exam before you are treated to ensure your spots are simple sun spots and not anything more serious that needs to be treated by a dermatologist.
