Kimber: Ready for Her Happily Ever After👸🤗🩷

Kimber comes to us from less than desirable conditions after being left behind by her previous family. While our officers focus on that part of her story, we are here to help her re‑write her ending. This precious 5‑year‑old is in need of that fairy‑tale ending we think all deserve.

Since she has been with us, she met a similar‑size neutered male and was stiff with her hackles up at first. They sniffed each other all over without issue, though she did not seem particularly interested in him. She previously lived with an older German Shepherd, and we know they did great together. With her new friend, she was bouncing around and soliciting pets from people during her exam. Such a sweet girl.

Kimber loves to go for walks, is always friendly, and is eternally happy to see everyone. She is a pleasure to walk, as her leash manners are amazing.

You must come and meet this sweet girl in person to see if she is meant to be part of your family. She is not in our adoption kennel due to limited space, so please ask staff to meet her. She deserves a home that truly will be her happily ever after.

Meet‑and‑greets with other dogs and children are always recommended. We do not have information on how she does with cats and cannot test this.

If you cannot promise forever, please wait until you can make that commitment before adopting.

The 3‑3‑3 Rule for shelter pets:
3 days to decompress
3 weeks to settle in
3 months to build trust

Kimber’s adoption fee is 4️⃣0️⃣ through the end of day Saturday, October 3, 2026.
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up‑to‑date on age‑appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters must establish veterinary care after adoption to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness.

Please bring a collar and leash, or purchase a combo from us for $15 to safely take your new pet home.

We are a first‑come, first‑served, in‑person adoption center at 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville, NC.
Hours: Monday–Friday 12–5 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
