My life has been very busy the last couple of weeks. Back to school, PTA, worship team, birthdays, Bible study, plus my time in the salon.
After finally getting a chance to sit down this afternoon, it hit me. Today is the salon’s 3 year anniversary. It came up so quickly!
Then another thing hit me…
This business has allowed me to do all the things I’m currently doing. That list above (which is only a tiny glimpse) wouldn’t have been possible for me over 3 years ago.
I’m able to be a part of my kids’ lives. I can participate in my church, be a part of the PTA board & even be in a book club.
I fell in love with my career again. I love what I do. I love the people I get to interact with & create for. God has truly blessed me.
Im beyond grateful for these 3 years. I so look forward to the years to come.

Moroccanoil products are super concentrated (especially the shampoos & conditioners). A little bit of product can go a long way & therefore every drop is useful.
I will always marry my backbar products when I can.
Don’t throw away that last little bit after buying a full bottle. Use the new products for a couple of weeks to allow some extra space & then add the old product to the new bottle.
You can do this with most of the non-aerosol sprays & pump bottles in Moroccanoil.

I like to transition my clients to grey blending slowly & with purpose.
I will not attempt to do a full transformation & color removal in one session. In other words, you won’t leave white after coming in with darker hair color.
A client may not be fully ready to be 100% their natural grey tones. They might just be looking to break down the high maintenance of their color touch ups.
Breaking through that old color & warmth takes time. I don’t like to compromise the hair more than needed.
Taking steps allows the client to see what they’re hair looks like in different stages & lot of times they may end up liking a specific stage & want to stick with that color.
Like all my color clients, this is very much customizable to each person. What works with one, may not be a solution for another.
