My mom, Olivia Wilkerson, has spent years building a salon community that puts people first. She started at Smilz ‘N Stylz in September 2010, bought the salon with James in 2021, and rebuilt after the first location was badly damaged by fire on Mother’s Day 2023. After reopening at a new location near Airport Blvd in September, she was finally back doing work she loves.

Now Olivia is recovering from a sudden heart attack and emergency quadruple bypass open-heart surgery. She’ll need a long break from the salon, while medical bills and basic family expenses continue. Ms. Olivia went to her follow up with the surgeon on the 17th and has at least another 4 weeks of rest (no driving, no lifting, no housework)
