Once again I’m humbled and blown away by everyone who showed up despite the heat advisory for today’s farmers market. This little market is the first one I ever committed to and we’ve done our best to show up there every month for the last few years. Tanner Williams is my hometown, it’s where I was raised and where my daddy’s family is from too. For over a century us Mizell’s have been out there carving a path through land stewardship, raising animals, farming, foraging, and crafting many of the very products so many people love and come back for time and time again.

What I love most about market days is catching up with everyone and seeing community love and support in action. It’s the hugs and excited squeals from babies running up, checking in with the elders, asking how’s your mama and them, and just the general vibe that life goes on and even through the good and bad days, we can all count on one another. There’s truly no better way to support your local makers and growers than to come out to the farmers market. I stocked up on homemade bread, veggies, and of course some delicious ice cream from Eiland’s Creamery.

Any other night owls up? I’m just finishing up packing for tomorrow mornings market and I’m feeling so excited. It’s been a long summer and it feels like it’s been forever since I’ve been out and about speaking to folks, seeing smiling and familiar faces, and spreading the love with all these herbal treasures I loving making. For the Tanner Williams Farmers Market (8/15/26), we will be running a special on our herbal tinctures— 2 for $45 (you save $7 🥳)! We will have a limited amount of elderberry syrup and fire cider too—$25 per pint! I’d come early if ya wanna snag one because I have a feeling they will go fast.

Whew, it’s hot out here friends! Who else is praying for a preview of that Fall weather that’s just around the corner? I’ve been getting back into the flow since the kids have gone back to school this week and I’m so excited to see everyone at the Tanner Williams Market tomorrow. I know it’ll be hotter than a billy goat in a pepper patch, but I hope yall will still come on out! If I have enough time I’ll be brewing up and ice cold tea to share. I’m bringing lots of everyone’s favorite offerings as well as some new things. I’ll have pints of elderberry syrup on hand as well!

As always, this market is full of so many wonderful vendors for you to support. There will be folks there with fresh fruits, veggies, plants, canned goods, baked goods, you name it!

Good morning sunshine’s, we will be at the Tanner Williams Farmers Market this coming weekend on Saturday, August 15th, from 9:00-1:00. We will have fresh elderberry syrup in stock, fire cider, plus a restock of shampoo and conditioner! Lots of other seasonal herbal goodies, too! Come out and see us, friends.

Today I turn 34 💞🎂

Every birthday feels a little different, but this one has me thinking about how grateful I am for this life. This past year hasn’t been the easiest, it’s been full of challenges and change, but somehow even still I get to spend my days growing herbs, wandering through the woods, making medicine with my hands, raising my babies, and sharing it all with people who genuinely care. That’s something I’ll never take for granted.

I’ve been pretty quiet on social media lately. Not for any particular reason, but because life has been so full. The gardens have been keeping me busy, the apothecary has been buzzing with projects, and I’ve been soaking up as much time as I can with the people I love. Every time I sat down to make a post, I’d end up setting my phone back down and heading outside instead. I think that’s exactly what this season was meant for and what I’ve needed more of. Anyone else feeling this lately?

I think this next year is going to be a beautiful one. I can’t wait to share more of the gardens, the foraging, the herbal medicine, the behind-the-scenes moments, and everything else that’s been quietly unfolding.

Hello friends, I’m restocking conditioner and I’ve got a question for y’all. I currently put it in a bottle which you squeeze and it comes out, but I was thinking about putting it in a container like this instead. What do y’all think? I know the shampoo and conditioner have a cult following so I’d really like to hear from y’all. Both items will be back in stock hopefully by the end of the week. Shampoo bars are currently curing! 🥳

It always feels like summer drags on, but it never is long enough for me. I was made for July and cherish this time so much. Maybe it’s because I’m a Leo? Maybe it’s because I’m an undercover lizard who prefers the heat of the summer sun. Idk, but I’ve been pretty blissed out, even having injured my back and being laid up.
