Before there was a company, there was inequality Mary Kay Ash refused to accept. 💗

After experiencing it firsthand in her own workplace, she decided to build something different, not only for herself, but for every woman who came after her.

Using her own life savings, she and her three children, Ben, Marilyn, and Richard, opened Beauty by Mary Kay on September 13, 1963.

That very first day, women could get a Basic Treatment Set of four skincare products and a foundation, along with a first set of color cosmetics: a pink palette of five eye and lip colors, a blush, a mascara, and a brow and eyeliner pencil.

Sixty-three years later, that same idea is still the reason this whole community exists.
