Ever notice how certain eye makeup can make your eyes look way bigger?

A cut crease works by creating a new, more defined crease slightly above your natural one. By keeping the lid lighter and placing the deeper shade higher, we visually create more lid space — which can make the eye appear larger and more open. ✨

The placement can also be adjusted for your eye shape. Hooded eyes, deep-set eyes, smaller lid space… the same exact placement isn’t going to flatter everyone the same way.

That’s one of my favorite things about makeup: we’re not changing your features — we’re playing with light, shadow, color and placement to create an illusion. 💕
