For as far back as I can remember I've had an issue with my weight, it's been a constant struggle for me. When I was in high school I practically stopped eating just to stay thin and it never felt like it was enough every time I stepped on the scale. Then the migraines started and they were happening nearly every day. For a long time those headaches continued whenever I stopped eating to lose a few pounds. I lived by the scale and I hated it but all I wanted was approval from others and to be thin. Finally as I got older my weight plateaued and I wasn't gaining weight so I started eating whatever I wanted because I wasn't really putting on any extra pounds. This past year and a half I started getting pretty cranky and I didn't want to spend time with my friends because it seemed like I was just irritated all the time. When the weight started to really add up and I inched closer to 200 lbs I got to the point where I'd hide mirrors and avoid looking in any I passed. I hated buying bigger clothes and clung to my skinny clothes until they started to fall apart because they just didn't fit-which of course only worsened my mood. I moved to a whole other state for a guy and I spent so much time at home watching Netflix and finally I got sick of being tired all the time and seeing the two of us just putting on more and more weight, that I was crying several times a week. It was too much for me then I got into this program and even though initially I wasn't losing weight I was losing inches. It was difficult to see so many of the other challengers losing so many pounds AND inches but when that day came and I was able to sinch my belt in to a notch I'd never used and my "fat" pants got baggy I knew it wasn't about the weight. I never connected my headaches and migraines to the not eating but since I've been eating according to my meal plan and drinking these shakes I never have those headaches anymore. When I was finally able to stand in front of the mirrors and see the changes I was so thrilled that even though the rest of my life was taking a nose dive I had that big accomplishment in front of me. Knowing that I had that, I suddenly felt so much more positive and it began to spread to the rest of my attitude. When I caught myself smiling and cheery for no apparent reason I knew that this was something I had to share with others. I have so many friends who could benefit from this experience and I know that there are other people out there just waiting for somebody to say "It's cool, I'm here for you, let's keep going because we know it's worth it, right?" I'm here for you to be that person.

Wear what makes you comfortable and what will get you to actually working out. For me during the summer it's a riding shirt from Fly racing gear and padded pike shorts. Lol but come winter it's sweats because I workout from home.
Either way I'm not losing weight, I'm getting rid of it for good, hence the funeral. đŸ˜‰

The opinion of others should never be your fuel to change anything about yourself. Strength in your self love and courage to seek that it continually is what matters most.
I'm not saying you need to change to fit into what other people might say or think of you, but if you do want to make a transition toward good health I'm hear l here to help you. :)
Stressed out about things? Let's plan a 3 week yoga retreat for September! Did I mention that it's free? ;) Message me for details.
"You Don't Have to Be Pretty. You don't owe prettiness to anyone. Not to your boyfriend/spouse/partner, not to your co-workers, especially not to random men on the street. You don't owe it to your mother. You don't owe it to your children. You don't owe it to civilization in general. Prettiness is not a rent you pay for occupying a space marked female. - Erin McKean
I want to thank these gorgeous souls who participated. These women were willing to bare not just their bodies but a little bit of their hearts for this project. I asked them to write down something another person has said to them in their lives about their bodies that impacted their self confidence negatively. Then I had them write down something they know to be true of themselves that has nothing to do with physicality. I loved the moment of seeing their faces and demeanors change when they held up the second card. They are all beautiful. period. I hope that for at least those couple hours, they knew it to be true.

It's days like this when I'm so thankful for my good health because it gives me the confidence to know that I can walk this distance without any issue!
I remember when walling this distance in this heat would have made my feet, legs, knees and back ache for days.
I'm so thankful that I was able to forego the expenses of cabs, while enjoying and learning at this Coach Summit event, because I'm able to walk this distance thanks to being in good health. Maybe it's a little thing, but I really don't miss the shin splints or back and foot aches lol.
Share an example, no matter how small or big, of something you're thankful for because you made your health a priority.

My goodness it's been a crazy month! Skydiving trip, working two jobs, squeezing in bike rides and now off to Coach Summit in Nashville where I get to learn how to be a better coach. I'm so excited for this opportunity to be surrounded by so many wonderful and inspirational folks!
Two bags for 3 days 4 nights, my dad would be so proud lol.
I strive for change and betterment of self because I know it needs to happen, but it isn't easy, it's work. But because I want things to change and because I want something better for my life, I do my best to put in the effort. What's your goal for just today?
I'm so glad I was able to make time to get out and ride. This is the kind of exercise that makes me want to go hard and push further. I ended up getting in 11 miles or so today before work this evening, and I loved every minute. Mondays matter, even on holidays.

Snuck in a short ride since I haven't been in over a week. With the headwind for the first half of the ride I sure got some good cardio in. :) I'm thinking about doing a workout roulette for the next couple weeks, any suggestions?
