It's so fun to see people get excited about what they put together, whether it's permanent jewelry, a new ear piercing, a custom scent, or any of the other experiences available at All That Glitters.
There's a tiny "oh" people make when they find the one. I never get tired of hearing it.

The choosing isn't the hard part. It's the fun part.
I hear it at almost every appointment: "I have no idea what to pick."
Good. You don't need to.
You don't need a Pinterest board, a chain name, or a charm plan. Come with a specific idea, a vague one, or none at all. We'll try a few on, you'll probably change your mind once (everyone does), and at some point it'll just feel obvious.
That's the experience. There's no quiz you have to pass first.

Produce, coffee, a little sparkle. Saturday errands, upgraded.
If your weekend is already spoken for, this one doesn't ask for much. You're probably hitting the market anyway. Grab your apples, get your coffee, and swing by to get linked while you're there.
No planning. No group chat coordination. Just one small thing that's for you, tucked into a morning you were already having.

Come say hi. I'd love to see you.

October is booked + busy — but there’s always room for a little sparkle. ✨
I’m popping up around the Twin Cities all month long, which means plenty of chances to grab permanent jewelry, build something at the Charm Bar, or just come say hi.
Save this post so you know where to find All That Glitters this October — and send it to the friend who’s always asking, “What should we do this weekend?”
Which one are you coming to? 👀
The summer and fall have been incredibly busy for my small business, which is exciting and exhausting at the same time.
New employees. A busier day job. A calendar that filled itself up without checking with me first.
So I've started asking one question about everything on it:
When this is over, will I have more energy or less?
Some things stay on the calendar no matter what. That's adulthood. But when I do get a choice, I'm picking the things that give something back.
Studio time is one of mine. It might be one of yours too. Come solo, bring a friend, or bring a small group. It fits in an afternoon, and you leave with something you chose for yourself.

Somebody said no to your last invite and it probably had nothing to do with you.
They had a Tuesday. A kid with a game. A work thing that ran long. We tend to read a "no" as something bigger than it is, a statement about the friendship, when really it's just a calendar conflict. Calendar conflicts are what happens when adults try to exist in the same room at the same time.
Here's the part worth remembering. A gathering doesn't need everyone to count. Six out of the eight you invited is a successful plan, not a failed one. Two people is a gathering. Three is a party.
If you've been waiting for the day everyone can make it, that day might not come.
Send the invite anyway. See who's in.

You don't need twenty people and a Pinterest board to justify getting together.
Three people count. Two people grabbing coffee counts (and we've got a great coffee shop just steps from the studio). A studio appointment with your one best friend counts. Somewhere along the way, "let's do something" turned into a whole production nobody had time to plan, so nobody planned it.
It doesn't have to be that complicated. Small still counts.

A month full of proof that connection doesn't need a special occasion. Just an invitation.
We spent September at birthday parties, corporate events, breweries, and inside the studio more times than we can count. Different rooms, same thing happening every time. People showing up because someone finally sent the text instead of waiting for the "right" time.
Nobody needed convincing. They just needed someone to make the plan.
If you've been sitting on an idea for your own gathering, fall or holiday, big or small, this is your sign that people want the invite more than they want the perfect occasion.

The version of hosting where you also get to enjoy the party exists. It's this one.
You don't have to be the one refilling drinks, running the icebreaker, and keeping conversation going all night. Give people something interactive to do together and the room takes care of itself. You get to actually be there instead of managing it.
That's true whether it's six friends or sixty coworkers.

Today we're at TruChoice Financial for a corporate permanent jewelry event, and if the setup looks familiar, it's because this is exactly what a team gathering should feel like. No lanyards, no slideshow, just a table and a group of coworkers picking things out together.
It's easy to assume a corporate event has to feel corporate. It doesn't. It just needs to give people a reason to actually interact with each other for an hour.
