I want all my brunette Barbies to know that your brown hair is loved and cherished in my chair! I promise to never talk you into going blonde (unless it’s your ideal 😉😘).🤍🤞🏻

Its about time I reintroduce myself on the good ol’ gram!!

My name is Kate, & I’m a 28 yr old from a small town in WI called Manawa. I grew up outdoors, playing sports, and playing video games! 😎

I’ve been obsessed with styling hair since I got my very first Barbie hair head doll for Christmas at 6 years old! It gave me a creative outlet that was completely different than any other activity I was doing at that age. I was obsessssseddd with that thing!

I started beauty school in 2013 and moved to Oshkosh shortly after I graduated. I have spent the nine years of my professional career discovering my niche within the industry and perfecting my skills.

I absolutely fell in love with color and extensions within the last six years of my career. Any foil work that has depth, dimension, contrast, and that appears lived-in is what I do best.

I’m so grateful for every single butt that has ever been in my chair and gave me the opportunity to fall more and more in love with this beautiful career!

4 big things to ask yourself before investing in hair extensions🤩

1. What’s the ultimate goal? Are you wanting added length? Just volume?

2. What’s your realistic budget? 

3. What’s your commitment level? Are you down to be back in the salon very 8 weeks? Semi Permanent extensions vs “clip in” & “halos” have different maintenance requirements. 

4. Are you looking into extensions for the possibility of wearing them for your wedding or a big event? If so, my answer to you is, Yes. Invest in one of the many extension methods!🥰🥰

The biggest lesson I learned when coloring brunettes is that LESS is MORE!

When working with brunettes, it’s best to keep more darkness with minimal highlighting.

Why?…

When highlighting and/or low lighting it’s key to remember that lighter colors (highlights) will POP💥 and any darker colors will only whisper🤫.

Doing less highlights doesn’t mean you won’t see the pops of lightness!

It simply ensures you don’t over do the foils and create a blondie on accident.

2. Done the fastest
3. Outstanding quality

Anytime you are purchasing a product or receiving a service you open yourself up to these 3 options.

💥BUT the kick is, you only get to have 2 of these 3...

⚡️Here’s an example!

If you want a concrete driveway done the cheapest and done the fastest, it’s probably not going to have best quality. or….

If you want it done as fast as possible & great quality, it probably will cost way more money upfront. orrrrrr….

If you want it to be great quality and affordable, then it might be something that will end up taking more time.

✨This analogy applies to hair services!✨

If you want a one day transformation and want it done well, it’s gonna cost some $$$$

If you want a big transformation done well but need to stay within your budget, then it’ll just take a few more appointments and time together to get you there. Etc.

I wear gold jewelry and only put warm tones on my hair.

This before and after is here to remind you that hair can be fixed!⭐️

Not everytime, but close.

The before photo was a cut that wasn’t done by me but just by looking at it I could tell that the stylist who did it, had the right intensions.

Nontheless, It was fixed.

When hair appointments don’t go the way you had hoped, I recccomend-

1. Writing down/mentally noting the things that are bothering you about your look and (maybe) the things you are liking. You can even right down what you were expecting out of your appointment.

2. Ask the stylist for a follow up visit to make adjustments so you can express your concerns.

3. If you decide to not return to your orignal stylist, search on for different stylists in the area who speclizes in the look you were initally wanting. ( Hashtags, and keywords are a great tool for searching. Examples are- hairstylist, extensions, brunnettes etc.)

Remember to take a deep breath and don’t be hard on yourself! This won’t last forever.

It’s all about finding that perfect stylist for you! It will happen!

All 3 reasons why I won’t tone certain blondes⬇️

1. If my client wants to look as light as possible and also as natural as possible.

2. If there is no previous color on their hair and are naturally a dark blonde or light brown, I will consider not toning.
Hair like this lifts super light.

3. If the client wants a blonde color they can maintain at home and looks fresh for months with minimal upkeep.

Toner is a wonderful, wonderful tool that really can personalize someone’s look.
But sometimes it’s not what’s actually needed!😎
