Our goal is to empower women to take charge of their emotional, physical, and intimate health by addressing sensitive topics not often discussed in a traditional health clinic and creating a yearly health goal strategy customized for each unique woman. There's no-one like your fellow women to understand that with experience, age and/or the blessing of childbirth comes intimate concerns that often get overlooked. Aviva Woman is here to help you reclaim, restore and revive your younger self.

The serum your friend loves. The cream you bought on sale. The bottle you’re still not entirely sure when to use. Before adding something else, let’s look at what you already have.

Take a photo of your current routine and bring it to your skin consultation at AVIVA. We can talk through what each product is doing, what may be unnecessary, and where something might actually be missing. Good skincare doesn’t have to mean a shelf full of products. It should make sense for your skin, your goals, and your real life.

Weighted vests are suddenly everywhere, but your walk doesn’t need an upgrade to be worthwhile.

Adding resistance does make your body work harder, although the additional calorie burn with lighter vests is generally modest and evidence for long-term muscle-building benefits in everyday users is still limited.

Curious about trying one? Start by paying attention to your comfort, balance, and posture on your regular walk. If you have osteoporosis, balance concerns, or back or joint pain, talk with a qualified professional about whether added weight is appropriate for you.

Have you tried one, or has your algorithm simply convinced you that you need one? 😅

True love is adjusting the thermostat after they leave the room. 😂

Strength is about so much more than what you can lift at the gym. It’s part of staying capable in your everyday life.

Adults should aim for muscle-strengthening activity at least two days a week, working all major muscle groups. Weights can count, but so can resistance bands and body-weight exercises. Start where you are and build gradually.
The goal isn’t to become a “gym person.” It’s to keep doing the things that make your life yours.

What’s something you want to stay strong enough to do for a long time?

Sleep changes can be part of the perimenopause conversation, too.

Night sweats, mood changes, and other symptoms may all affect how well you sleep, and the experience can look different from one woman to the next. If something has changed, you don’t have to figure out the cause on your own before bringing it up. Keep a quick note of what you’re noticing and bring it to your next appointment. Sometimes the pattern gives us a much better place to start.

Not every win is something other people can see. Sometimes it’s setting the boundary, making the appointment, asking the question, or simply trying again. Give yourself credit for the quiet wins, too. 🤍

A continuous glucose monitor can show you patterns in your glucose throughout the day and night, but more numbers don’t automatically create better health. Context matters. Glucose normally changes after eating, and one rise doesn’t make a food “bad.”

At AVIVA, we want to start with a better question: What are we hoping this information will help us understand? Your goals, health history, symptoms, habits, and the decisions the information could actually guide all belong in that conversation. Because data is most useful when it helps you understand your body, not when it gives you one more thing to worry about.

Creatine is suddenly everywhere, and not just in gym bags. So what do we actually know?

Creatine helps supply energy to your muscles during short, intense activity and has good evidence behind its use for supporting strength and training performance. Creatine monohydrate is the most studied form. You may also be seeing bigger claims around menopause, brain fog, and other benefits, but the evidence there is still developing. One more thing worth knowing: creatine can increase water retention and body weight, which doesn’t automatically mean body fat gain.

Curious about trying it? Start with the goal you’re hoping it will support, and talk with your healthcare provider about whether it makes sense for you, especially if you have kidney disease, take medications, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Save this for the next time creatine shows up on your feed.
