Non-toxic beauty. Professional makeup artist, Ashlee Rice, was born and raised in Dallas, TX, and has 18 years of experience in the cosmetic industry. Ashlee has traveled as a regional makeup artist for such lines as Lancome and Estee Lauder, worked in research and product development for TIGI Bed Head haircare and cosmetics, as well as, specializing in makeup for bridal, bo***ir, fantasy, underwater, blacklight, special occasion,fashion editorial, HD broadcast makeup and special fx/costuming makeup, costuming/art direction/design for photo shoots, and is even self taught at hand painted body art. She is the West Texas regional makeup artist for Jane Iredale the skincare makeup, and also carries this amazing cosmetic line in her professional makeup studio. Ashlee was top 5 for RAW Makeup Artist of the Year 2013, and debuted in Austin, TX at the Belmont, with her very own runway show featuring her own body art, fantasy makeup and costuming. Her underwater makeup was recently shown at an Allure magazine event in New York City. She has been awarded 2014, 2015, and 2016 Best of Weddings by the Knot. Her makeup has also recently been shown on national television broadcast series such as 48 Hours and Mind of A Murderer. Ashlee was also the assistant MUA for the makeup for Austin Fashion Week designers and Project Runway All-Star night 2015. Her work has been featured in bridal and fashion editorials including My Weddings Texas.

I honestly had not thought about this in a while since it was filmed last November until the video was put out yesterday, which made me smile/cry. This is from recording artist Harper Grace who flew in from Nashville to Midland to film "Tennessee Waltz" with her "Nana" last year. I got to spend a few hours with them. Such a special moment in a makeup career. 💄

🩷 Alabama 🩷 To know her was to love her and today the rainbow 🌈 bridge gained a precious fur baby. This is one of the hardest losses of my life!!!
You know what is awful about losing your soul mate that is your dog? It's that dogs are better than most people. Period. Not sorry. They just are. Loyal. Loving. They don't hurt you, hold grudges or do anything but provide companionship and and comfort and happiness. Total devotion. If only most people could be more like our dogs the world would be a better place.
Alabama was and will always be the best most unique little being I have ever known. Luke was saying today how she was my absolute shadow, and she was. Everywhere I went, there she was. In the makeup studio.... there she was. Under my feet, taking a bath..... and now I am just laying here in shock.
Almost every one of my clients knows Alabama . She has laid in my makeup studio and watched me apply makeup to 1,000s of women. Grieving clients, dog lovers, and teens and kids would hold her or even take selfies with her. She was one of a kind.
Alabama is not named after the state. She was named after Patricia Arquette's character in my favorite movie the 90's action romance thriller "TRUE ROMANCE".
She lived 15 long years. So I just wanted to share because so many people love and know Alabama.
I knew this morning it wasn't looking good by how she was when we got up. I brought her in her spot in the makeup room where she always lays and would sleep or watch me work. I finished my client. About ten minutes later I said "Luke, she's really not looking good...it's bad." We were about to call to go take her to be put down. I was holding her and telling her how much I love her. She looked at me one last time with those eyes of hers and she literally drew her last breathe right here at home. She wanted to go while she was here at home.
My heart hurts so badly but the memories of her are so amazing and will never be forgotten.
