✨ CHEMICAL PEEL EDUCATION ✨

So, what’s actually happening during a chemical peel? A chemical peel uses a carefully selected acid solution to create a controlled exfoliation of the skin. Depending on the type and strength of the peel, it works by loosening bonds between dead skin cells, accelerating cell turnover, and stimulating the skin’s natural repair processes. Some peels can also encourage collagen remodeling, helping improve overall texture and tone over time.

For this client, we chose a chemical peel as part of a treatment plan focused on post-acne scarring, uneven texture, and overall skin clarity. The goal isn’t to magically erase scars in one appointment (because unfortunately, skin doesn’t work like a Snapchat filter 😂). Instead, professional peels can gradually help soften the appearance of uneven texture and pigmentation while encouraging healthier-looking skin with a series of appropriately selected treatments.

And that beautiful white “frosting” you may see during certain peels? That can occur when the solution causes proteins within the superficial skin layers to coagulate. It’s one of the visual signs an appropriately selected peel is reacting with the skin - but frosting is not required for every peel or every skin type.

Every peel should be selected based on the client’s skin condition, goals, tolerance, and appropriate professional assessment. 🤍

I know I’ve been quiet on here and havent posted in months… truthfully, I’ve been balancing school, pregnancy, motherhood, and building my business behind the scenes.. But trust me — big, beautiful changes are coming after maternity leave and I cannot wait to grow even more with you all.

My new in-home studio has been done for awhile now however I never announced because I actually couldn’t take on anymore new clients till I graduate in April so I’ve just been quiet.
