My immigration journey.
My career as a massage therapist started 9 years ago when I lived in Russia. There I graduated from a massage school, got my license and started practicing massage. I was constantly taking new courses, trainings, being trained in different techniques. I always felt that massage is something I will always do, I enjoy my work every day and the feeling of my clients after my work. When I moved to America, to New York, I chose the right path for me, I wanted to be a professional in my field in this country. I needed an American license and I went to college and studied for three years to become a massage therapist. I learned all the anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, all the pathologies, the ethics of a massage therapist. I wanted to have a high level of knowledge, understanding of myself as a professional in a new country. I graduated from college, my GPA was 4.0. I took the New York licensing exam. This exam is only given twice a year and I passed it on the first try. I rented an office in Brooklyn, I did home visits to my clients, I worked every day, seeing 6-8 people a day. I’m always looking to grow and improve my knowledge. 2 years ago I took a medical massage therapist program. I worked in a medical office on Wall Street with a physical therapist, recovering and helping people after injuries, surgeries, different pathologies. After moving to Miami, I got my license here. I continue to take courses, read professional books, study and be better every day. I have a wealth of knowledge, years of practice, all of which I want to share with you, my clients, to help you and make your quality of life better. Love your ‘magic hands’. 🤗🤗

Today I want to talk about a disease called Fibromyalgia. And how massage helps to improve life with this diagnosis. I have a medical license as a massage therapist. Very often my clients come to me with different health problems, I know how to improve the quality of life in different pathologies. Massage can significantly change the physical and mental state of the client. Fibromyalgia is a condition known for causing widespread pain, called tender points. If 11 out of 18 tender points tested positive for sensitivity, this would help doctors make a diagnosis of fibromyalgia.
* Massage, especially when sessions are in the evening, can promote relaxation and improve the quality of sleep so that the body can repair and rejuvenate more effectively.
* Massage can improve muscle tonicity, which can increase strength and vitality.
* Massage may help combat the mental “fog” that often accompanies fibromyalgia and improve mental clarity by relieving mental stress and promoting healthy awareness.
* Massage can increase blood flow to the brain, which can relieve the physical source of headaches, which are common in fibromyalgia patients. Increased circulation to muscles helps to flush away waste products and provides the muscles with the oxygen and nutrients that they need to heal.
* Massage restores the body to a state of balance, which is also known as homeostasis. This can alleviate the psychological effects of depression and anxiety and reduce the effects of hormonal fluctuations.
* Massage stimulates the pituitary gland and the central nervous system to release endorphins, which are the body’s natural pain relievers.
