A tan is actually a sign of skin damage from UV exposure. Tanning beds increase the risk of skin cancer, including melanoma, and are not a safe way to get a glow.

If your teen wants a tanned look, sunless tanners are a safer option, but they do not replace sunscreen.

Help teens protect their skin with:
🧴 SPF 30+ sunscreen
🏖️ Shade and sun-protective clothing
🚫 Avoiding tanning beds
