A little look at the view from behind the chair in one of our studios ♡

I found this old photo from the real estate listing before we started the Studio Mae buildout, and I had to share it because the transformation is so fun to look back on.

We turned this outdated office space into 14 studios for beauty + wellness professionals. In the after photo, you can see the wall where the bathroom used to be, right in the middle of what is now our waiting area.

It’s still so fun to look back and see how far this space has come.

When we created Studio Mae, our vision was never just to create beautiful studio spaces. We wanted to create a community where women feel supported as they build businesses, pursue their dreams, and create lives they love.

Family has always been incredibly important to us. As a mother and business owner, I know how meaningful it is to have support during seasons of change, especially when you are also carrying the responsibility of running a business.

Independent beauty professionals are entrepreneurs, which means they often don’t have access to the same benefits and support that come with traditional careers. When I thought about what I could offer the women building their businesses inside Studio Mae, this felt like something that truly mattered.

Then I remembered…

I own the business. I have the ability to create the kind of support I would have loved to receive myself.

So we created the Studio Mae Motherhood Grant.

A small way to remind our studio owners that they don’t have to choose between growing their business and growing their family.

Because entrepreneurship and motherhood should be able to coexist.

We are so grateful for the women who choose Studio Mae and for the opportunity to support them through every season of life.
