âI just want my natural brows back.â đ¤
Those were the very first words my client said to me.
Last year, after someone new began threading her brows, everything changed. Her brows stopped growing into the shape she had always known and loved. They became thinner, uneven, and unfamiliar.
She told me, âMy brows donât even look like my brows anymore.â
She wasnât looking for trendy brows.
She simply wanted her brows back.
She was nervous, so before we ever started, I walked her through every step of the design process. Every line I drew, every measurement I took, every hair I removed, and every adjustment I made, I explained why. I wanted her to feel confident before we began.
One of the biggest issues wasnât just that one brow was thinner. It was where the arch began.
Her left arch peaked too early, making it appear higher and shorter than the right. By extending the body of the brow first and repositioning the arch, I was able to restore balance and create a softer, more harmonious shape. I also added density and extended the tail to complement her naturally fuller right brow.
This is why brow mapping is so important.
It isnât about making brows darker or thicker. Itâs about understanding facial proportions, natural hair growth, and designing brows that complement your unique features.
Could I make them perfectly identical?
No.
Because no one is naturally symmetrical.
What I could do was restore balance and give her back the brows she remembered loving.
Seeing her smile at the reveal reminded me why I love what I do.
She didnât leave looking like someone else.
