🤍 Canvas Downtown
More than a booth. A better way to build your business.

Today at Canvas Downtown, we are celebrating something truly special. 🎉✨

Our girl Courtney is celebrating 1 year in recovery today. 💛

Recovery isn’t easy. It takes courage, honesty, faith, and the willingness to keep showing up even on the hard days. Watching Courtney walk this journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Her strength, growth, and heart remind us every day that people can rewrite their story. 🙌

The single yellow rose in these flowers symbolizes friendship — something Joey always said was the foundation of a strong relationship. Today that yellow rose represents the friendship, support, and community we have for Courtney as she continues building her beautiful new chapter. 🌹💛

Courtney, we are so proud of you. Your story matters. Your life matters. And your courage is changing lives around you every single day.

Here’s to one year strong and many more to come. 🕊️✨

Our Canvas family is cheering you on. 🤍

🌨️❄️🥶Today’s forecast:
snow + sleet + ice = nope ❄️🥶

Due to dangerous road conditions from this winter storm, Canvas Downtown is closed today. Your safety (and our team’s) comes first!

We’ll be in touch to reschedule everyone as soon as it’s safe to return.

Stay warm, check on your people, and avoid those icy roads 🤍

📅 Book/Reschedule here: Canvas.Downtown has invited you to book your next appointment on their booking site.

MAYSVILLE — you did this 🤍✨

Canvas Downtown was voted Best Salon, and somehow I was voted Best Stylist too 😭🥹 (still processing… lol).

TO OUR GUESTS💕— thank you for trusting us with more than just your hair ✂️🤍 Thank you for the laughs, the tears, the chair therapy sessions 😂, and for sharing your stories with us. You are truly the heartbeat of this place.

TO MY TEAM🫶— thank you for choosing growth even when it’s uncomfortable, for choosing each other through every season, and for showing up with passion, purpose, and unity 🤍✨ We are just getting started… and I’m SO proud of what we’re building together.

TO MAYSVILLE☺️— this town raised me, supports small businesses in the biggest way, and continues to show up for us again and again 🖤🤍 Your votes, your encouragement, and your loyalty mean more than you know.

And to Joey 🤍
Thank you for helping build this dream from the beginning. I feel you in every step forward, every win, and every moment of growth. Your legacy lives on here — always.

Canvas has always been more than a salon.
It’s where artistry meets empathy ✨
Where we show up for each other 🤍
Where we slow down enough to feel, breathe, connect… and laugh 😂

From the bottom of my heart — THANK YOU for believing in us, supporting us, and growing with us 🥹🤍

Community Over Competition

A salon is so much more than stylists behind chairs.
It’s the coordinator who makes you feel welcomed,
the nurse practitioner who supports wellness from the inside out,
and the artists who bring your vision to life.

When every role is valued — the whole community rises.
We are Canvas Downtown. ✨

In a small town, it’s easy to feel like we have to compete…
but real growth happens when we come together. 🤍

This is the first of many open-door education experiences at Canvas Downtown — created to lift our industry, share knowledge, and support one another in our craft.

We are honored to welcome Donovan Mills all the way from WeHo West Hollywood — an award-winning hairstylist and educator, known for his down-to-earth teaching style, generous knowledge-sharing, and signature effortless, lived-in dry cutting approach.
Stylists who train with him always leave with new technique, but also new confidence.

If you’re a stylist or salon looking to learn, be inspired, and connect —
our doors are open to you.
