Glow Haven

In honor of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I want to remind everyone where Glow Haven started—and where we’re still going. 💜

When I introduced Glow Haven in March, I said I wanted it to be a place where women support women, where you can show up exactly as you are, and where confidence is built.

I meant every word.

Because Glow Haven was never supposed to stop at spray tans, shopping, or making women feel beautiful for a day. The bigger goal has always been to create something that helps women feel safe, supported, and strong enough to rebuild their lives.

I know what it feels like to lose yourself while trying to survive someone else.

I also know what it takes to claw your way back.

Since opening Glow Haven, I’ve stood before Kentucky’s Judiciary Committee and told my story. I’ve used my voice to advocate for survivors and push for change. I’ve shared parts of my life I once thought I would carry silently forever—all because there may be one woman listening who needs to know she isn’t crazy, she isn’t alone, and she still has a way out.

Things have moved slower than I wanted. Life has pulled me in a hundred different directions, and some days survival still looks like handling whatever is directly in front of me.

But the goal has never changed.

Our DV Closet is still a work in progress, and we are still accepting donations of supplies for women who are leaving abuse and trying to start over.

We are also looking for anonymous notes of encouragement and anonymous survivor stories to place inside the closet. Words from women who have lived it. Words that say, “I believe you.” “I understand.” “Keep going.” “There is life after this.”

Because sometimes a woman needs more than clothes or toiletries.

Sometimes she needs proof that someone else made it out.

Glow Haven started as a dream to help women feel confident. It has grown into a purpose much bigger than I originally imagined—and I’m still working toward everything I said I wanted it to become.

Slower does not mean forgotten.

The closet is still coming. The work is still happening. The door is still open. And I will keep using what I survived to help the next woman find her way out. 💜
