But I want to leave you with a couple of thoughts about Brookie:

1. When I was down because business wasn’t where I wanted Fly Guys Menswear to be, Brookie was there with words of encouragement - the ultimate cheerleader.

2. We’re reminded how you don’t have to be blood to be family.

One of our own got married tonight! 🤍💍

Tonight, we had the absolute joy of watching our sweet “Brookie” tie the knot and officially become Mrs. Stivers! 🥹

It was a beautiful evening from beginning to end - a gorgeous venue, beautiful décor, delicious food, and most importantly, a very happy bride and groom.

Brooklyn holds a pretty special place in the Katie J’s story. She was the first intern we “inherited” when we purchased Katie J’s in March of 2023, which means she’s essentially been part of our little family since day one. (Although Kyler had already known her through their time together at our local community theatre)

One of the greatest blessings of owning a small business has nothing to do with what you sell. It’s the relationships you build along the way - especially when employees and interns stop feeling like employees and start feeling like family. ❤️

Brooklyn was right there with us through so many changes and transitions. She saw the Katie J’s transition, the days of The Bloom Company, the opening of Fly Guys, and probably more chaos than anyone should reasonably be subjected to. 🤣 Somewhere in between all of that, we got plenty of updates on her love life, too.

For years, we’ve had a running joke that Brooklyn’s “fish in the sea” simply did not exist. 😂🐟

Well…tonight, Brookie married her fish. And we couldn’t be happier for her. 🤍 Brooklyn & Hudson, we hope your marriage is filled with a lifetime of laughter, adventure, friendship, and a love even more beautiful than the celebration we witnessed tonight.

Congratulations, Mrs. Stivers! We love you, Brookie! 🤍🥂💍
