Seriously Markie at Plant House - Toledo comes up with the funniest ideas! I love being a part of her small business bags! :)
✨ Once upon a time, I came up with this really weird idea to pass out “Small Business Bags” on a Valentine’s Day.
Now, it’s just something we do periodically!
These bags are carefully put together by us, and include a card with a sample/treat/treasure/coupon from another small business.
In our last batch, we included:

IF you’ve been around for a long time, you know that Plant House started because of Toledo Hair Company.
While I never got to officially *work* next to Alyssa, I still go over to visit… a lot… & have actually sent a lot of my own clients to her!
So if you’re looking for a stylist, and want to just feel COMFORTABLE while getting your hair done, she’s absolutely one of the best.

If you’ve been around, you might remember the candle classes we would host when we were next door!
(She taught her FIRST class with US!)
I’m so proud to say, that Natalie now has her own shop! & she STILL makes the time to supply all of our candles, wax melts, & the car diffusers that constantly sell out!
📕 Taylor’s Book Nook -
Taylor is the face behind the “micro book store” we have in our walk in closet!
She also puts on all of the bookswaps we have here!
Taylor is definitely someone you can find here frequently, since she is also a stylist next door.

🛠️ Mike, our handyman -
He does not have a social media page…
However you can usually find him here at least once over the weekend taking the kids to the coffee truck!
(I feel like posting his number is frowned upon LOL)
However, he DID also help me get rid of the million cardboard boxes I was hoarding in the back building over winter… So I feel like needed to be here!
If you were not able to get a bag, I WILL give his card/info for those looking! 🫶

1.) If you would like to participate in this, we collect the items until we have enough to complete a bag! Just drop off 100 cards ATTACHED to a sample/trinket/coupon. (Some even do a piece of candy!)

It takes me hours every single time, just like it takes hours for the participants to prepare their items.

I wanted to give you a little extra reason to get started this month. Summer has flown by, and it's hard to believe we're already about 90 days away from the holiday season, and I want to find and help as many people as I can feel confident in their skin going into it.
At your Skin Strategy Visit, you can tell me all the things. What you've used or done in the past, what you're currently using, what your skin concerns are and what you'd like to change.
Together, we will come up with a plan that makes sense for your skin and that you can actually incorporate into your life.

Looking back now it's hard to believe May will be 10 years since my first facial. I was clueless about pretty much everything when it came to my skin. All I knew was everything I tried even DR recommendations just made my skin worse. So my skincare "research" involved finding the best foundation to cover everything.
Everything changed for me when that Esthetician told me she could help me. As I worked with her, I became more curious about skincare and becoming an esthetician. Exactly a year after my wedding my husband went with me to tour esthetics schools....and I have pretty much been all in ever since.
Sometimes I wonder where I'd be if I never decided to book my first facial...but truthfully couldn't imagine my life any other way at this point.
