Tonight: our first class of 26-27! Students learned about the chemistry of seawater with Mr. Wood then did a water quality testing lab.

Current, past, and future students: Fall is a great time to learn to dive. If you are interested, check out Davey Bones Scuba Center who will be training students at Gilboa Quarry, Inc. through the end of October.

Class of 2026-27: if you are planning on SCUBA diving on our trip (this is beyond the requirements of the class/ trip), you must be fully certified! A great place to learn locally is Davey Bones Scuba Center!

Hoover Jackson Marine Biology is mourning the passing of a beloved former teacher, Margaret Peters. Miss Peters taught and adventured with us from 2002-2019. Her kind smile and sweet personality was the warm welcome we looked forward to each season and her sharp wit and prankster sense of humor kept us fully entertained. We will miss her tremendously and will think of her fondly every time we spot a Queen Angelfish!
