🤣THINGS THAT MASSAGE THERAPISTS DO that you don't know about 😂

⭐We have entire conversations with ourselves during your massage. Grocery lists, dinner plans, existential crises. All while finding your trigger points.
⭐We secretly get excited when we find a really interesting muscle restriction. It's our version of finding buried treasure.
⭐We occasionally forget which body part we've already massaged. Wait... did I do the left arm twice?
⭐We have mastered the art of pretending we didn't hear you fart. Didn't hear it. Didn't smell it. Nothing happened.
⭐We silently beg you to stop helping us move your arm or leg. PLEASE. LET. IT. GO. 😂
⭐We have accidentally made eye contact with a client through the face cradle. Nobody wins that interaction.
⭐We occasionally have to fight for our lives against a rogue eyelash, itchy nose, or hair stuck to our face.
⭐We can tell when you're about to fall asleep and secretly take it as a compliment.

Something happened in my treatment room today that I think more people should know is completely okay. 💚

Sometimes during massage, emotions come up unexpectedly. You might cry. You might feel overwhelmed. You might not even know why you're crying.

You do not have to apologize.
You do not have to explain it.
And you definitely don't have to feel embarrassed.

Massage gives us something we don't always get in everyday life: quiet, stillness, physical care, and a chance for our nervous system to settle. Sometimes emotions surface in that space.

If it ever happens on my table, just know I'm not uncomfortable. I'm not judging you. You don't need to pull yourself together for me.
