We are having to haul water to the cattle in one of the fields. We typically don’t need to, but obviously extreme drought means less water.
It is so time-consuming and pulls us away from other tasks that need to be done.
But the most disheartening thing about it is when I see some AI slop picture on Instagram or Facebook or profiles I wonder why? Why are we using up our water resources on that?
Everyone knows it’s AI.
It’s not original art
There’s absolutely nothing unique about it
Can we just stop?
Find a local artist, I would bet they would love your patronage.

Take a picture
Anyway, that’s my rant for the night

As dry as they are this year The Owyhee Mountains first thing in the morning is priceless.

Everyone meet 1131. This old girl was born in 2011 she has seen and lived many lives; fires, drought, lean years, green years, blizzards, mud, good grass, no grass
We thought we’d keep her at home on the ranch where she would not have travel for feed. But our girl is a range cow who was antsy at home so out she went to her happy place. She is raising a banger heifer calf this year.
** Here’s an editors note. We are in an extreme drought this year while our grass is not green, it is plentiful. Our girls are climatized to the region, they are hardy they will thrive on this grass while raising banger calves.
There may not be as much nutrition in it as I would like that’s why we have a great mineral program. Redmond Agriculture

I believe everyone in Owyhee County took a small breath of relief. We finally received moisture with no boom booms.⚡️⚡️
The weather is telling us it’s bone broth season!
