When you take your extensions out and immediately feel BALD… obviously there was only one thing left to do: make Andrew participate in the emotional journey. 💀

Most of the absolute nonsense that happens in my chair never makes it on camera, but Andrew was UP for the content today and, honestly, dude nailed it. 👏🏻 GIVE HIM SOME LOVE.

And as you can see… Andrew isn’t exactly coming in for his own sessions. 😂 He’s just here for a good time with his special lady, Lilliana — and apparently whatever bu****it I convince him to participate in while he waits.

Lilliana has trusted me with her salon visits for FIVE YEARS now, and that’s the part I really freaking cherish. Five years of hair, life, laughing, catching up and cutting up together. And for the last year, Andrew has officially joined the circus.

Today’s activities included:

Andrew with bangs + a rat tail ☠️
Prank FaceTime calls to their kiddos while fully committed to the look.
And three grown adults absolutely losing it.

It was so fetch. 😂

Hair is what brings people into my chair.

But THIS?
The friendships. The laughing. The stupid s**t. The “okay wait, let me film this.” The fact that my guests are always willing to play along and have a good time with me?

That’s the stuff I freaking love.

Thanks for being good sports, you two. 🖤🔥

And Andrew… the bangs were giving. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

INSIDE E&A: the jobs nobody puts on Instagram 😂

There are glamorous parts of salon life…

And then there’s cleaning hair out of chair wheels. 🤢😂

Is it gross? Absolutely.
Does it have to be done to keep our equipment working like it should? Also absolutely.

But around here, even the cringe jobs somehow turn into a good time when you’re not doing them alone.

Kaylee and I were deep in the trenches when Kelly, a delivery driver dropping something off next door at Relic + Root, decided he was apparently part of the E&A maintenance department now. 😂

He sat down, hung out with us, pulled out his box cutter and WENT. TO. WORK.

Five wheels later, he packed it up and went back to his actual job. 😂👏🏻

It felt less like meeting a stranger and more like having coffee with a friend who just happened to help you clean an ungodly amount of hair out of salon chairs.

Cool freaking dude.

One thing about us: we never miss an opportunity to make a new friend around here.

The pretty stuff is fun to show you. But THIS is Ember & Ash too.

Taking care of our space.
Taking care of each other.
Laughing through the cringe.
And apparently recruiting random delivery drivers along the way. 😂

As long as we’re not doing it alone, we’ll find a way to make it fun. 🖤🔥
