University of Texas head football coach Steve Sarkisian and his wife Loreal Sarkisian have reportedly made a major impact off the field by paying off more than $667,000 in school lunch debt across 103 schools.

Their contribution is said to have relieved thousands of students and families from the burden of unpaid meal balances, ensuring children can access school lunches without stress or stigma. The effort has reached communities across multiple states, including Washington and Alabama.

While often quiet and behind the scenes, actions like this highlight a growing focus on addressing basic needs in education—where something as simple as a school meal can directly affect a child’s ability to learn and thrive.

This is incredible! The Harris brothers noticed a massive lack of healthy food options in urban neighborhoods and decided to take action by creating an innovative retail solution. Their beautiful new grocery stores partner directly with minority-owned independent farms to provide fresh, affordable organic produce and healthy staples to underserved local communities. They employ over fifty local teenagers, providing them with valuable business training and mentorship opportunities. Share this post to celebrate their amazing entrepreneurial success!
