You can have 15 certificates hanging on your wall and still struggle to fill your books.

3. Being fully booked doesn’t mean you’re successful.
You can work from morning until night and have nothing to show for it except a sore back.

4. Being known for ONE thing can make you more money than offering 10 services.
Become exceptional at something people are willing to seek you out for.

5. Your prices aren’t supposed to fit everyone’s budget.
Being the cheapest doesn’t make you the most desirable. And lowering your prices to please everyone is a fast way to burn yourself out.

If you’re just starting out, don’t be discouraged. There’s SO much opportunity in this industry. Get really good at what you do, learn the business side, and don’t be afraid to do things your own way. 🤍

1. Write your business goals every morning AND every night.
Not just “I want more clients.” Write the NUMBER, the revenue and the schedule. Repetition keeps the goal front and center in your mind. When your brain knows what you’re looking for, you start noticing the opportunities, ideas, and actions you probably would’ve missed before.

2. Visualize the boring parts of success not just the money.
Visualize yourself posting when views are low. Following up with leads. Handling a difficult client calmly. Showing up when you don’t feel motivated.

Mental rehearsal is used in performance psychology because practicing an action mentally can help prepare the brain for actually performing it.

3. Stop starting your morning with everyone else’s business.
No Instagram scrolling 🙅🏻‍♀️before you’ve decided what your priorities are. Your attention is one of your most valuable resources. Give your brain a target before you flood it with everyone else’s ideas, success, opinions and problems.

4. Collect evidence that you’re GOOD at what you do.
Create an album of healed results, client messages, reviews, transformations, compliments everything!! Your brain has a negativity bias, so one unhappy client can feel louder than 100 happy ones. Give yourself actual evidence when your confidence starts slipping.

5. Never repeatedly tell yourself that business is slow.
This one is HUGE. If you constantly say, “Nobody is booking. People aren’t spending money. My engagement sucks,” you start approaching your business from threat and scarcity and your behavior changes with it. Replace the spiral with a useful question: “What can I do today that increases the probability of someone booking me?” Then do it.

Your business will only grow as far as your habits, attention and identity can sustain it. Stop trying to build a successful business while rehearsing the mindset of a struggling one.
