When I created Southern Flhair, I wanted something different.

I wanted a salon where there was room for all of us to win.

A place where another stylist having a record week is celebrated.

Where we share what we know instead of gatekeeping it.

Where we recommend each other when a guest is a better fit for someone else.

Where you can ask for help without feeling like you should already know the answer.

Where growth isn’t threatening.

And where independence doesn’t mean you’re completely on your own.

Because this industry can be competitive enough without bringing that competition inside the salon.

I don’t want Southern Flhair to simply be a building where several beauty professionals happen to work.

I want it to be a place where the people inside genuinely want to see each other succeed.

And maybe one of the things I’m most proud of?

That support doesn’t necessarily end when someone leaves our salon.

We’ve had professionals step away to focus on motherhood. We’ve had someone realize that a barbershop was a better fit for the clientele she had built and the direction she wanted to take her career.

And you know what?

We still cheer for them.
We still recommend them.
We still refer clients to each other.

Because supporting someone doesn’t mean their success has to happen within the four walls of Southern Flhair.

Sometimes supporting someone means recognizing that their next chapter is somewhere else—and genuinely wanting them to succeed there, too.

That’s what having people in your corner means to me.

And we’re still building that.

Carefully.

Because the right salon culture isn’t created by filling every available chair.

It’s created by being intentional about who sits in them.

Not every salon is trying to build the biggest team. We’re trying to build the right one.

Southern Flhair was created around a pretty simple belief:

There should be room for talented professionals to succeed beside each other without competing against each other.

A place where another stylist’s full book is something we celebrate—not something we feel threatened by.

Where guests are taken care of in the little ways because the experience matters just as much as the hair.

And where the professionals creating that experience are taken care of, too.

We believe in support without micromanagement.
Independence without isolation.
Growth without jealousy.
High standards without an unhealthy work environment.

That philosophy shows up in the details—from the products, tools and amenities available to our professionals to the coffee, drinks, comfort and experience we provide our guests.

And we’re protective of it.

Southern Flhair is growing, but we aren’t interested in filling chairs simply because they’re available. We’re interested in meeting hairstylists who believe there might be a better way to do salon life.

Okay, here’s the secret most blondes don’t know… 🤫

Fall blonde doesn’t mean you have to stop being blonde.

Think of summer blonde like your favorite vanilla ice cream in the sunshine—bright, light and super blonde. ☀️

When fall comes, we don’t have to cover all that pretty blonde up with brown. Instead, we can change the flavors.

🍯 Add a little honey.
🍪 Mix in some caramel.
🤎 Bring back a little of your natural depth.
✨ And keep some of those bright blonde pieces right where they make your hair POP.

That’s exactly what we did here.

The secret? We actually added darker pieces back into her blonde and glossed all over for the ultimate blend. Sounds backwards, right? But adding that depth makes the blonde pieces we leave behind look even brighter—without having to make them lighter.

It’s basically a hair-color magic trick. 🪄

Summer blonde says: “I’ve been at the beach.”
Fall blonde says: “I’m still blonde… I just put on a sweater.” 🍂
