Since I received so many messages after the other day’s post about occasional specials, I thought—why don’t y’all tell me what you’d like to see? 🩷

Like I mentioned before, specials will not be something I offer all the time. I never want to diminish the value of my business, my skills, my education, or our industry. However, I do think a thoughtfully chosen special every now and then won’t hurt a thing—and it may give you the opportunity to try something you’ve been considering!

My most asked question… are you still doing aesthetics?

Yes, I’m still here—and I’m still doing what I’ve always loved: educating, serving my patients, and creating beautiful, natural results through aesthetics. 🤍

I want to be transparent about why I don’t post as often as I used to and why I don’t accept a large number of new patients. When I post consistently, my schedule fills very quickly—which is such a wonderful blessing—but I’m still learning how to maintain a healthy balance between work and home.

I never want to become so busy or get caught on such a fast-moving hamster wheel that I lose sight of what matters most in this season: serving my family well.

When I stopped accepting new patients for a while, it was intentional. I wanted to ensure that my existing patients could schedule appointments in a timely manner and that I could continue giving each of them the time, attention, and care they deserve.

I’ve recently opened a limited number of appointments for new patients. Once those spots are filled, my books will close to new patients again so I can continue providing the level of care I believe in.

I’ve also never been one to run many specials because I’ve always tried to keep my regular pricing fair and consistent for everyone. With the current economy, several of you have shared that you’d appreciate an occasional monthly offer. I may introduce a few thoughtfully selected specials from time to time, but they won’t become the norm. Aesthetic treatments are elective luxury services, and I never want anyone to feel pressured to receive a treatment or chase a promotion.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to check on me and ask if I’m still seeing patients. The answer is absolutely yes! And yes…lol…I promise I’ll try to post more. I’ll do better. 😂

Moments like these remind me why I’ve invested so many years—and so much money—into continuing education. Sometimes, the answer is simply thinking outside the box.

This patient came to me after multiple rounds of the same neurotoxin with little to no improvement. She had spent thousands of dollars over time being retreated with the same product, hoping for different results.

When she reached out, I told her, “I don’t want or need to know where you’ve been treated. I just want to know which neurotoxin has been used.” I don’t care who has treated you, I just care that we work together to figure out what the obstacle is and we problem solve it.

After hearing her history, I explained that one possibility was that she simply wasn’t responding well to that particular brand. My plan was simple: first, we (my med director and I) would dose her the way we felt was appropriate based on our assessment.. If we still didn’t achieve the results we were looking for, we would completely switch brands.

That’s exactly what we did.

Instead of continuing to repeat something that wasn’t working, we changed the approach—and she finally got the results she had been hoping for.

Now, this isn’t common, but it does happen. Some people respond differently to different neurotoxins. If I’ve worked through multiple brands and still can’t achieve results that meet my standards, I don’t continue treating just to keep treating.

Instead, I tell my patients to save their money.

I’ll usually recommend waiting 6–8 months before trying one final time. If there is still no response, we have an honest conversation that they are likely a true non-responder, and I don’t believe it’s ethical to continue asking them to invest in a treatment that isn’t benefiting them.

To the newer injectors out there, here’s my advice:

Follow your ethics—not the money.

If something isn’t working, don’t keep repeating the same treatment expecting a different outcome. Step back. Reevaluate. Learn. Grow.

Invest in your education. Don’t rely solely on the training your representative provides. Seek out educators who have experience with multiple products, different techniques, and a variety of patient outcomes. The more knowledge you have, the better you can serve your patients.

Knowledge truly is power.

I train on several neurotoxin brands and am not loyal to one company over another. I definitely have my favorites, but those are based on clinical experience, patient outcomes, and personal preference—not brand loyalty.

Our patients deserve providers who are committed to lifelong learning.
