I’ve been Top 3 TWICE, & that is something I will never overlook. To continuously be recognized alongside so many incredible business owners reminds me just how far I’ve come. 🥹

This is my second year being nominated but The first year I attended, I was nervous, overwhelmed, & completely out of my element. I looked around at the established businesses & maybe even millionaires in the room along with their business that employ dozens of people & quietly wondered, Do I really belong here?

For a moment, I let the size of their success make me question my own. I wish I would have told that girl who was nominated a couple years ago that I deserved to be there just as much as the big guys.

But I’ve grown since then. & honestly? I can walk into that room now (& any other room🤣) with my chest out, head held high, & confidence knowing I belong there. I’ve worked for my seat at that table.

iLashGemz belongs there too.

Now, when I look around at so many successful business owners, I don’t feel out of place I feel inspired, proud, and reminded of how far I’ve come. I’m still growing, still building, & confidently stepping into the space I’ve worked so hard to earn. Everyone who was there absolutely deserved it.

& to every single person who took the time to vote for me, share my posts, encourage me, and support iLashGemz , THANK YOU. You helped put me in that room, and I’ll never take that for granted. 🥹🤍

I was doing lash sets for FREE during school hours, (covid era, that’s why I’ve grown accustomed to wearing a mask while I lash, everyone always asks why🤣) sitting there with no idea what I was doing, barely knowing my way around a lash set, & only knowing classic lashes. I was learning as I went, practicing on anyone who would let me, just hoping I could make something out of this.

Fast forward 6 years… I’ve learned so many techniques, stepped completely outside of my comfort zone, invested in my education, built my skills, built my clientele, & turned something into a FULL-TIME career. 🥹✨

Now I get messages saying they can’t even find an opening because I’m booked 2 months out. & THAT is a flex I’ll never take lightly. I built this. I worked for this. & I’m damn proud of it. 🤎✨

🚨 LASH WASHING IS NOT OPTIONAL. 🚨

If you have lash extensions, you need to be washing them EVERY SINGLE DAY. Not “when they look dirty.” Not only before your appointment. EVERY. DAY.

Your lash line collects oil, makeup, sweat, dirt, dead skin, and bacteria. When you don’t properly cleanse your extensions, that buildup sits directly on your natural lashes and can lead to poor retention, irritation, excessive shedding, and an unhealthy lash line.

And please don’t tell me you’re not washing them because you’re scared your extensions will fall out. Extensions aren’t permanent 😂 Properly washing your lashes will NOT ruin your extensions. In fact, keeping them clean helps you get the most out of your set.

I can only do my part as your lash artist but you have to do your part at home. Your aftercare directly affects the health of your natural lashes and the retention of your extensions.
