When I design permanent eyeliner, I’m thinking years ahead—not just how it looks today.

For most all my clients, I place the pigment within the lash line rather than extending it into a wing. Why?

✨ As our skin naturally matures, the outer corners of the eyes develop fine lines and the tissue gradually changes. A wing that looks beautiful today can eventually settle into those wrinkles or begin to appear lower as the skin changes.

By keeping the liner in the lash line:

• Your lashes appear naturally fuller.
• Your eyes stay softly defined without looking heavy.
• The result is timeless and flattering through the aging process.

I also love a soft lower lash enhancement. It gently frames the eye without creating a harsh, overdone look.
Less trend. More longevity.

Sometimes the best result isn’t an exact copy of the drawing.

When I designed these brows, I made a few subtle adjustments to better complement her features and to create a result that would age beautifully.

Notice how you can still see skin space and her natural brow hairs throughout the healed result. That isn’t by accident—it’s intentional.

Many of my clients wear their makeup darker and fuller than I recommend to maintain natural permanent makeup long term . If I tattooed brows as saturated as this everyday makeup, they would heal looking much more like a tattoo: dense, flat, and heavy over time.

Instead, I encourage my clients to think of permanent makeup as their beautiful foundation.

Brows naturally thin over time, but that doesn’t mean they need to look sparse.

For this client, I added fine texture through the brows to blend with her existing hair and soften areas where density has decreased.

We also did a lash line enhancement, placing pigment directly within the lash line to give her eyes subtle definition without the look of thick, obvious eyeliner.

Here’s what I’d refresh (and what I wouldn’t):

✨ Brows: she could use a slightly deeper shade — but not a lot of it. Just a gentle boost for definition, darker color, not density.
✨ Upper liner: still looks beautiful. No need to “chase” it.
✨ Lower liner: this is where I’d add more—so it blends the design as it fades and keeps the shape smooth and intentional.
