This is absolutely NOT meant to make another woman feel bad about her body. If it does, I’m sorry. 🤍 I’m sharing this because I want women to see what’s possible and because I’m tired of the negativity around lifting during pregnancy, especially when you’re 40+. When I found out I was pregnant, I made a promise to myself: I would show up for myself for as long as my body allowed me to. That didn’t mean pushing through everything. I rested when I needed to. I slowed down when I needed to. Some days it was a full workout. Some days it was 20 minutes. Some days, listening to my body meant doing less. But I kept moving because intuitively, my body told me it needed it. And looking back at these videos now (my entire pregnancy) I’m honestly just so proud of her. 🥹 Not because I “bounced back.” Not because my body looked a certain way. But because I stayed connected to myself through one of the biggest transformations of my life. Pregnancy did not ruin my body. It changed it. It challenged it. It grew a HUMAN. And I’m incredibly grateful for what it carried me through. I had the most beautiful pregnancy and the most beautiful experience becoming a mom. And I genuinely wish that experience for every woman who wants it. 🤍 And just to be clear: I am NOT suggesting that someone who has never lifted before should start lifting heavy during pregnancy. Your pregnancy, your body, your history and your medical circumstances are completely individual. Always talk to your doctor about what movement is appropriate for you. This is simply me saying: don’t let fear or other people’s opinions convince you that your body is incapable of incredible things. I’m proud of her. Then, now, and every version in between. ✨
