Has your moisturizer ever gone from “I love this” to “Why are you just sitting on my face?” 😅
That happened to me.
For years, I could use the same products without thinking twice. Then my skin started feeling dry again an hour later. I developed redness that turned out to be rosacea ( first time in my life).
My first thought was, “Do I need something richer? Something stronger?”
But my skin wasn’t asking for more. It was asking for something different.
As hormones shift through midlife, our skin can produce fewer of the lipids that help support its barrier. That can leave it drier, more sensitive and much less interested in tolerating the complicated routines we once put it through.
So if your old routine suddenly isn’t working, your skin isn’t being difficult and you haven’t done anything different. Its needs are simply evolving.
Sometimes the answer is gentler cleansing, better barrier support and fewer actives competing for attention.
Has this happened to you? What’s one product your skin suddenly stopped loving? 💚
An entire day of makeup and sunscreen - gone in 30 seconds. ✨
Start with
** superLumine on dry skin
** massage as its oil-rich texture dissolves makeup, SPF and daily buildup.
** add a few drops of water and watch it transform into a light milk, allowing everything to rinse away easily.
No harsh scrubbing. No tight, squeaky-clean feeling. Just fresh, comfortable skin that still feels moisturized.
The first step of your skincare ritual shouldn’t strip your skin - it should prepare it for everything that follows. 💚
What should we test superLumine against next: waterproof mascara, long-wear lipstick or mineral sunscreen?

Have you ever looked at your skincare routine as a whole - not just one product at a time?
A cleanser. A serum. A night cream. A lip balm. The occasional mask. Each may have a purpose, but your skin experiences everything together: repeated ingredients, overlapping actives and multiple leave-on layers.
The point of 168 isn’t to fear ingredients or assume that a longer label is automatically worse. It’s to become more intentional about what we use, especially when skin becomes drier, more reactive or less forgiving after 40.
Read the label. Understand the purpose. Notice how your skin feels. And remember: you don’t need to layer everything simply because you can.
Our approach is simple: cleanse gently, choose one targeted treatment and nourish while supporting the barrier.
Which product category surprised you most?
Hyaluronic acid is everywhere BUT not every form behaves the same way.
Its molecular size influences where it works and what it contributes to a formula:
💧 Larger molecules primarily remain near the skin’s surface, helping reduce water loss and giving skin a smoother, hydrated feel.
💧 Medium-sized molecules offer a balance of surface hydration and interaction with the upper layers of the skin.
💧 Smaller molecules can reach further into the outer skin layers but very-low-molecular-weight fragments may not suit every sensitive or compromised skin barrier.
And here’s the difficult part: the ingredient name on the label doesn’t always reveal its exact molecular weight.
So “contains hyaluronic acid” is only the beginning of the formulation story, not the whole story.
Would you like another Reel to explain what names such as sodium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid and sodium acetylated hyaluronate can and cannot tell you? 💧
You know those days when your skin just isn’t feeling like itself? It feels dry, uncomfortable, and seems to be asking for a little extra TLC.
superSupple is your skin is asking for- to give it long lasting hydration with the support it needs.
When your skin feels healthy, it looks healthy too. That natural glow isn’t forced - it simply comes through. 💚
Glass skin can be a beautiful goal. But it shouldn’t come at the cost of your skin’s comfort.
If achieving “glow” leaves your skin stinging, tight, flaky or constantly reactive, the answer may not be another product. It may be a simpler, more supportive routine.
Especially after 40, healthy-looking skin isn’t just reflective - it feels calm, hydrated and resilient.
What did your skin stop tolerating first: acids, retinol, fragrance or too many layers?

There is nothing wrong with wanting luminous, glowing skin.
But if achieving that look means persistent stinging, tightness, flaking or constantly adding another active, it may be time to ask a different question:
Is this routine still serving my skin?
During perimenopause and menopause, most of us notice more dryness, greater sensitivity or less tolerance for complicated routines.
What worked beautifully before may begin to feel like too much-and that isn’t failure. It’s feedback.
Midlife has changed the way I think about beautiful skin.
I’m less interested in chasing a perfect finish and more interested in skin that feels:
• Comfortable
• Hydrated
• Supported
• Like my own
Glass skin can be beautiful. So can real skin with pores, lines and texture.
Has your idea of beautiful skin changed with age? Tell me in the comments.

Pigmentation after 40 isn’t always asking for a stronger acid, another peel or more aggressive correction.
Sometimes it is asking us to understand the whole picture.
Dark spots can have different stories. UV and visible light, hormonal shifts, inflammation and irritation may all play a role and not every form of pigmentation sits at the same level of the skin.
That is why simply exfoliating harder can sometimes work against us. When a product repeatedly burns or stings, the resulting irritation may make some pigmentation look darker rather than better.
A more thoughtful approach considers:
• Consistent UV and visible-light protection
• A comfortable, supported skin barrier
• Fewer sources of unnecessary irritation
• Ingredients that support a more even-looking tone
• Patience and consistency
This is the thinking behind our Pigmentation & Dark Spots Repair Serum: targeted care formulated for dry, sensitive, changing skin - not aggressive correction.
Because brightening after 40 should be intelligent, not harsh.

Persistent or changing pigmentation should be evaluated by a dermatologist.
One thing Cosmoprof confirmed for me: a hero ingredient does not automatically make a hero formula.
Copper peptides. Retinol. Bakuchiol. Hyaluronic acid.
We are often taught to evaluate skincare by the celebrated ingredient printed on the front of the bottle. But an ingredient’s presence does not tell us whether the complete formula will be effective, tolerable or appropriate for the woman using it.
For midlife skin, that distinction matters.
When skin becomes drier, more reactive or less forgiving, the supporting formula becomes just as important as the active itself:
Does it support the skin barrier?
Does it provide lasting hydration?
Does it respect the skin’s microbiome?
Does it deliver the active without overwhelming the skin?
At Cosmoprof, buyers understood the ingredients. What they responded to was the formulation logic surrounding them.
As the founder of Pure & Cimple, that was one of the most validating conversations I had at the show- because it reflects the principle behind everything we create:
Only what midlife skin actually needs. Nothing it doesn’t.
Thank you to Beauty Industry Report for including Pure & Cimple in its Cosmoprof North America issue and for highlighting the conversations shaping the future of beauty.
Now I would love to know: When you choose skincare, do you look at the hero ingredient or the complete formula?
This was the moment.
Hearing superPeptide GHK-Cu Serum announced as a CosmoTrends feature on Day 1 of North America Las Vegas felt completely surreal.
I created Pure & Cimple because midlife skin deserves to be understood, not overwhelmed.
superPeptide was built for the conscious midlife woman: barrier-first, hormone-respectful, fragrance-free, clinically tested and Yuka-rated 100/100.
To hear it recognized on this stage was more than a product moment. It felt like a signal that this conversation belongs in beauty.
