Sometimes when I ain’t got the answers I go visit high areas to source energy and creativity. I think when u are low on money it’s best to go around things that at moment seem far to reach to force yourself to develop ambition and hunger.

It’s interesting—someone said I’ve only cut one celebrity. Keep in mind, I moved to LA in September 2019 from a small town in Wisconsin, knowing nobody, and had to get it out the mud. Barbers are the biggest haters on the planet.

I’ve owned three shops, hold both barber and cosmetology licenses, had the first Black-owned shop in my city, and still charge the highest prices there and in LA. I cut nothing but successful people, with rates from $300 to $2K.

Y’all barbers need to focus on your craft instead of hating. If you think you can do better, move to LA and prove it—otherwise, stop talking.
