Trying rice water as a straight natural has honestly been one of the best things I’ve added to my hair routine 🤍 Rice water is packed with amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that can help strengthen the hair shaft, support length retention, and reduce breakage over time. A lot of people avoid it because traditional DIY rice water can smell… horrible 😭 but I’ve been using rice water instead and it’s SO much easier to use without the strong fermented smell.

As someone who wears their natural hair straight often, keeping my hair strong is a huge priority for me because heat + manipulation can easily lead to breakage if I’m not careful. I’ve noticed my hair feels stronger, sheds less, and looks healthier when I stay consistent with it.

How I use it:
• Apply to clean damp hair
• Focus mainly on the mid-lengths and ends
• Leave it on for a few minutes or use it as a leave-in depending on what my hair needs
• Follow up with moisture because protein and moisture balance is important

Rice water isn’t magic overnight growth water, but if your goal is healthier hair, less breakage, and better length retention, it might be worth trying 👀✨
