If you’ve ever colored your hair dark before… Trying to go back lighter comes with it’s own challenges. Now we have to lift through underlying pigment. Usually red and orange. They can be especially stubborn if years of color are present. It’s a journey to get lighter after being colored dark. Here’s a quick example of what that looks like. The unfortunate part of color correction is you don’t know exactly what the hair will lift to or how long / how much damage will happen until you strand test. Just remember to be patient with the process and really take care of your hair between visits.

There are seasons in life when going lighter just doesn’t agree with your hair.

Anytime your hair may be in a more compromised state from chemo, new medications, surgery, stress, excessive heat styling or just constantly trying to go lighter.

It’s ok to go back darker or close to your natural let your hair heal up and enjoy being a new color.
