The most delicious week of the year is almost here!! Reverie Skin Lab will be getting festive for honeybun week with some special window paintings!! 😍

London Tourism & Parks and Flowers Foods will celebrate the 7th Annual Honey Bun Day, which will include an attempt to set the record for the most people eating a honey bun at the same time. Participants in the record attempt will have a chance to win a $1,000 prize, with winners selected at random. Each participant will receive a numbered card, and participants must be present at 7 p.m. to be eligible.

Honey Bun Day celebrates the thousands of jobs supported by the Honey Bun in London since 1953, when it became a staple at what is now Flowers Foods Bakery, originally The Griffin Pie Company. The bakery currently employs more than 600 people and produces millions of honey buns, donuts, donut sticks, and fried pies each week.

Visitors should plan to eat upon arrival as more than 10 food trucks will be on-site serving up delicious treats featuring the Honey Bun, along with a variety of other tasty favorites. A limited number of Taste the Buns Tour Passports will be available to the public, giving participants the opportunity to sample and judge all of the Honey Bun treats, plus receive an exclusive Taste the Buns T-shirt!

The event will kick off at 4 p.m. and conclude around 8 p.m. following the record attempt. This year’s celebration will feature live music from Brooks Kidd & the McKane Band from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., followed by the Felix Fingers Dueling Piano Show from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. More than 10 food trucks will be on-site serving up delicious treats featuring the Honey Bun, along with a variety of other tasty favorites. Other activities throughout the evening will include the Makers Market, Show & Shine Car Show, inflatables, and costumed characters, all set in beautiful Town Center Park which is transformed into Pumpkin Park for the season.

Local restaurants are also getting in on the fun by participating in Honey Bun Week and adding special menu items featuring the beloved treat in the week leading up to the event. Participating restaurants and their Honey Bun creations will be listed online.
