Times up, sorry.
The princess and the medication.
My brain is ALWAYS going. It’s a daily challenge but I love my work. I actually think my neurodivergence is an asset to my employer and makes me even better at what I do. Thoughts?
They love to call you unexpectedly.
Autism and masking means I do a lot of building others up so they like me.
Do you smile at inappropriate times? Turns out this has a name…it’s a form of incongruent emotional expression, and can be common in neurodivergence. Emotional Regulation and Processing Differences – Some individuals experience a delay in processing emotions. The body might react before the brain fully registers the gravity of the situation, leading to an automatic or inappropriate smile. Anxiety Response – Smiling can be an unconscious coping mechanism for stress. When faced with an intense or uncomfortable situation, the body may default to a nervous grin instead of the expected serious expression. Masking and Habitual Expressions – If someone has learned to smile as a default social behavior (especially in uncertain situations), it might override the expected facial response, even when it feels inappropriate. Difficulty with Social Expressivity – Some individuals have trouble naturally mirroring the emotional tone of a conversation. While they may deeply understand the severity of a situation, their face doesn’t always match the expected reaction.
Yall I love me a folded chip.
Tell me everything!
Ohhhh. Ohhhhh. Individuals with AuDHD often face challenges like this due to literal thinking patterns or higher processing time needs. You may give responses before fully processing these nuanced forms of communication.
