Hi friends!

I know I’ve been a little absent from social media lately. Not that I was ever good at posting consistently to begin with, but life has been moving quickly, and I wanted to share a little update with y’all.

For the time being, I’m taking a step back from teaching and working behind the chair to focus on my newest job title of “mom”.

Very soon, we’ll be welcoming our precious baby girl into the world, and I plan to take as much time as I feel I need to soak up every moment with her before returning to the salon.

While I’ll be quieter professionally for a little while, this definitely isn’t a forever goodbye. I’ll still be sharing updates along the way, and I look forward to reconnecting with all of you when the time is right.

This past month, I’ve watched these ladies work so hard, push through challenges, and grow tremendously in their skills and confidence. Today, they officially passed their exams and next week they’ll step into the Student Salon Training Area for the very first time. 💆‍♀️✨

I am beyond honored to be part of their journey and can’t wait to see them shine as they begin working with guests. 💖

Onto the next chapter!
Today was my last day as a Learning Leader at Paul Mitchell The School – Little Rock, and it’s hard to find words for just how much this chapter has meant to me.

This journey was a wild one — a mix of the highest highs and lowest lows — but it gave me some of the best friends I could ask for, moments that shaped who I am, and lessons that made me a better educator every single day. I found myself falling in love with the skin side of cosmetology while building the foundation for the world’s newest skin professionals as I taught Esthetics Core. I cherished every chance I had to guide our future cosmetologists too, reminding them that there’s more than one right way to do things… as long as the result shines. And most of all, reminding every one of them to go be great.

While this chapter closes, a new one begins for me as an educator at The Salon Professional Academy in Hot Springs. The biggest gift this shift brings is more time with the people I love and making space for another passion of mine. When my Nana passed, I discovered a calling in mortuary cosmetology and being able to make people beautiful one last time. Taking this job closer to home will give me the chance to open my evenings to that sacred work, to honor others, and to comfort families in their time of need.

I am forever grateful for every lesson learned, every laugh shared, every student I had the honor to teach, and every educator I worked beside. Paul Mitchell The School – Little Rock will always hold a piece of my heart. But it’s time to take that piece, carry it forward, and walk bravely into this new chapter.

Yesterday, SIX of my beautiful esthetics students crossed the finish line and officially graduated. 🥹💖

These girls have been through challenges, setbacks, and growing pains, but they showed up, kept pushing, and proved to themselves (and everyone else) that they could. Watching them grow — not just as future professionals but as strong, passionate women — has been one of the greatest joys of my journey as an educator.

Each of them has a light that this industry needs. I can’t wait to watch them shine, heal, and make waves wherever they go. Saying I’m proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.

To my grads: you did it. You made it. Now go be great.💕
