✨ MEET ALAYNA! ✂️

If you’ve been into Smith & Comb lately, chances are you’ve already met Alayna—because she’s pretty hard to miss with that smile always on her face. 😄

Alayna is a licensed cosmetologist and currently part of our salon assistant program, where she’s working alongside our team, continuing her education, sharpening her skills, and getting ready to start building a clientele of her own.

She’s fun, witty, hardworking, and always up for learning something new. Basically, she brings the kind of energy you want around the salon all day long.Behind the chair, Alayna especially enjoys highlights, color, and long haircuts, and she’s excited to keep expanding her skills as she prepares to take the next step in her career.

For now, you’ll see her helping keep all of us organized, learning everything she can, jumping in wherever she’s needed—and probably laughing while she does it.
We’re excited to watch this one grow. Remember the face, because before long, you’ll be seeing Alayna behind a chair of her own! ✂️✨

Laila brings 14 years of threading experience to Smith & Comb. Her attention to detail is incredible, whether you’re looking for perfectly shaped brows or want to clean up unwanted facial hair.

We’re excited to introduce Sara, one of the newest faces at Smith & Comb—and she brings 21 years of experience behind the chair!
Sara is a licensed cosmetologist who spent much of her career working in fast-paced salons, and over the years she’s learned something important: quality always comes before quantity. She takes the time to listen, understand what you want, and create a haircut that works for you.
She especially loves short haircuts, skin fades, tapers, clipper cuts, and working with all hair textures. Sara is also passionate about creating a comfortable, welcoming experience for clients with special needs.

After more than 25 years in the hair industry, Wendy’s definition of success has changed. To her, true success is seeing her teammates succeed—both personally and professionally. That belief is at the heart of Smith & Comb.

Wendy created Smith & Comb as a gender-affirming salon and barbershop where everyone has a place. Smith & Comb is proud to be Lincoln’s first salon to offer gender-free pricing, with haircuts based on hair length and time—not gender.
Wendy believes there is enough hair for everyone. Building a successful salon shouldn’t mean competing with the person in the chair next to you. It means supporting each other, sharing knowledge, building great careers, and genuinely wanting to see one another succeed.

Her expectations are simple but high: take great care of your clients, do great hair, support your teammates, and make every person who walks through the door feel welcome.
